Chris Smith

Chris is a breeder at our Virginia kennel. He began his training and breeding with us directly in Germany and carried their passion for the breed with them back to the US. His perfectionism and devotion to their shepherds is clear in the quality of their puppies.

Chris Smith has been present in the dog training community for over 20 years. His true passion is canine genealogy and personal projection sport training, but his time over the last 19 years has been occupied by his dedication to serving his country. For almost 20 years, he has served in the United States Army as a Senior Blackhawk Crew Chief and now is presently a Chief Warrant Officer (CW2), Marine Engineer. His time in the US Army has been devoted to multiple deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan and Central and South America, but is true passion was always patiently waiting. As his time in the US Army comes to an end, Chris is able to occupy more of his time with his true passion for canine athletics, training, competitive sports and breeding genealogy research and development. Chris is a NePoPo Gold graduate, IACP Professional Member, and AKC CGC Evaluator. He is also nationally certified decoy. Over the past six years, Chris has been donating his canine training skills, knowledge and techniques to his local K9 police departments as a way to give back to our community. Chris has titled several dogs in IPO, PSA, and AKC and continues to be a involved in the US canine sports.
